🛸 Eva Defense unveils low-noise AI drone

Thales is "quite advanced" in talks with several NATO countries on adopting HexaForce, its AI-powered command-and-control system unveiled last week.

HexaForce aims to plan 1,000 target missions a day, a tenfold increase, linking army corps down to battalion level.

The open architecture lets nations plug in their own AI models, positioning Thales against Palantir's dominant NATO command-and-control role.

GenAI.mil, the Pentagon's generative AI platform, logged more than 2 million users in a single week, DOD's Cameron Stanley said.

That's up from 300,000 users in the platform's first week last year and roughly 80,000 department-wide before its launch.

Stanley called unilateral AI slowdown "the wrong approach," signaling the Pentagon will keep expanding access rather than restrict it.

Eva Defense unveiled a low-noise autonomous drone prototype designed for stealth-oriented ISR, perimeter, and infrastructure-protection missions.

The smaller acoustic signature is meant to evade enemy radar, with future models linking into Eva's SwarmOS command-and-control system.

SwarmOS will handle mission planning, navigation, and fleet coordination as Eva Defense builds toward a broader autonomous defense network.

DeltaQuad launched the Evo-LE, a fixed-wing VTOL drone built for eight-hour ISR missions without needing a runway.

The drone covers up to 480 kilometers, carries a 1.5-kilogram payload, and has landing legs that detach on hard impacts.

Frontline operator feedback shaped the design, positioning DeltaQuad for extended-endurance reconnaissance work as militaries seek longer aerial coverage.

Hexagon's NovAtel unveiled OEM8, a new positioning platform combining signal processing, inertial sensing, and interference protection in one architecture.

Built with Belgian firm Septentrio, OEM8 targets drones, ground transport, and geospatial devices, with more details expected in coming months.
