🌊 Exail unveils Neptis drone-boat surveillance system — Read More
Exail unveiled Neptis, an integrated maritime surveillance system pairing uncrewed surface vessels (USVs), defense-grade sensors, and a mission command-and-control system for naval operations.
Three new Oryx USVs, the H-8, H-9, and O-16, anchor Neptis, which targets surveillance, anti-submarine warfare, undersea infrastructure protection, and counter-drone missions.
Exail is extending its mine countermeasures integration approach to wider naval missions, pitching persistent coverage without proportionally more crewed ships or personnel.
🚀 Raytheon wins up to $6.3B for SM-3 interceptors — Read More
Raytheon won a multi-year Missile Defense Agency contract worth up to $6.3B to produce and sustain Standard Missile-3 Block IB (SM-3 IB) ballistic missile interceptors.
The five-year base is worth $4.4B, with two option years adding nearly $2B; the Pentagon did not disclose how many missiles are on order.
Work in Tucson and Huntsville will replenish inventory used in combat, following February's framework agreement and last week's $24.4B SM-6 award.
🛡️ BAE wins $230M for new Marine recovery vehicle — Read More
BAE Systems received a $230.1M contract to build 32 Amphibious Combat Vehicle chassis in the new Recovery Mission Role variant (ACV-R) for the Marine Corps.
The ACV-R gives the fleet its own recovery capability, joining the ACV-30, personnel, and command variants on the same modular platform.
Production runs in York, Pennsylvania, through 2029, with the government integrating a Palfinger crane at Anniston Army Depot before fielding to the Fleet Marine Force.

Gallatin AI raised a $50M Series A from investors including 8VC and Silent Ventures, bringing total funding to $70M since its 2024 seed round.
Its Navigator platform connects logistics data across fuel, medical, and munitions supply chains and is deployed with Army and Air Force customers at tactical, operational, and strategic levels.
The El Segundo company plans to expand its engineering staff and add capabilities, with commercial logistics partners extending its customer base beyond government.
✈️ Shield AI expects X-BAT flight tests this year — Read More
Shield AI expects its X-BAT unmanned fighter jet to begin flight testing by year's end, with the first of two full-scale prototypes finishing within weeks.
The Navy added $150M through an other transaction agreement modification, which Shield AI will match, bringing total planned development spending to $400M.
Milestone-based payments lead toward an early operational capability around 2029, and Shield AI plans exports to countries augmenting F-35 and F-16 fleets.
🚙 Overland AI launches IBEX autonomous ground vehicle — Read More
Overland AI launched IBEX, a fully autonomous ground vehicle built on the Polaris MRZR, which the Marine Corps selected for its Marine Air Defense Integrated System (MADIS) counter-drone platform.
IBEX carries 2,000 pounds, drives over 35 mph in full autonomy, cruises 250 miles on one tank of diesel or JP-8, and exports 5 kW of power.
Shared MRZR parts and fuel, plus V-22 transportability, let units deploy and maintain IBEX with supply chains they already run.
